Why is learning music so important?
Learning music has so many possible outcomes for your well-being, state-of-mind, and overall feelings. It can soothe a stressful soul or put fuel to a rage that stays contained with the power of music. Either way music is truly awesome and powerful. It should be respected as such. There is so much research that discusses how music is one of the only things we can do to activate our entire minds on both sides of our brains engaging with one another simultaneously and harmoniously. Music is proven to raise IQ, improve test scores, improve your improvisation skills, improve your reactiveness, and learn how to control your emotions in every kind of situation. All of these things are most helpful in everyday life as we all have to overcome stress, emotions, reactiveness, and so much more in work, family, and friend related activities. So don’t be afraid of the unknown because if you never try music it will remain an unknown for the rest of your life. Pick up that guitar, bass, piano, drum, ukulele, or even sing a little. It’s time to find out what you are capable of and really put yourself to the test. Work can be monotonous and boring for most of us so doing music can change your life in ways that could change your entire concepts of life by challenging you in ways you never even thought you needed challenging in. Whether you play for a room of three or three thousand it is worth it. Go and get started on your musical journey today. Stop holding up and making excuses.
